Women's Auxiliary of Motorsports Announces First Annual Duck Race

Homestead, FL (November 19, 2004) – The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports, Inc., A Proud Charity of NASCAR, is pleased to announce the celebration of its 40th Anniversary with the First Annual WAM Duck Race.

Fans from all across the country will be able to “adopt” a duck via the WAM website that will be entered and raced in the infield lake at Homestead-Miami Speedway during the final weekend of the 2005 NASCAR season. The Grand Prize Winner from the Duck Race in Homestead will win: Two tickets to the 2006 Daytona 500 with Garage Credentials, Two roundtrip airfares, and accommodations. Other great prizes will be awarded for 2nd-10th place.

In addition, fans will have an opportunity to “adopt” a duck a various tracks throughout the 2005 season for the Homestead event, while at the same time participating in a trackside duck race. Winners from each of the trackside races will have the opportunity to win autographed memorabilia along with other great prizes. More information concerning these events as well as Duck Adoptions will be available on the WAM website (www.waminc.org) beginning December 1, 2004.

All proceeds from the Duck Race will benefit the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports, Inc. to help support the numerous charitable causes the organization partners with throughout the year.
