Weston Motorsports To Display Women's Auxiliary of Motorsports Decal at Nashville

CONCORD NC (8-11-04) The Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports (WAM, Inc.) is joining forces with Weston Motorsports at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday August 14, 2004. Weston Motorsports will proudly display the WAM, Inc. logo on the hood of Josh Weston’s car during the ARCA RE/MAX Series Waste Management 200.

The possibility of running the decal looked doubtful last week when a broken track bar caused Josh to crash during practice. However, thanks to his all volunteer crew, they were able to get the car fixed and ready for the race after many hours of hard work. “I’m really excited to get the opportunity to represent the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports”, said Josh Weston driver of the #97 Weston Motorsports Pontiac. “I hope that by running the decal this weekend it will bring more awareness to the organization.”

Beginning his racing career at age 8, Weston has become an accomplished driver at the age of 21. He has been named Rookie of the year twice, once in 1998 at Highland Rim Speedway in the Pro-Modified class and once in 1999 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the Late Model Division. Josh made his first ARCA start last year and the Waste Management 200 marks his return to the ARCA Series.

Sandy Jones will return to serve as crew chief for the team at Nashville. Josh has worked with Jones in the past and is excited to have him back this weekend.
